As an artist, I, Renee Rose, find solace and inspiration in the majesty of nature. The intricate patterns, vibrant colors, and raw beauty of Mother Earth fuel my creativity, and I am constantly in awe of her splendor. My artistic journey is deeply rooted in the land of my ancestors, the central coast of Western Australia, where the Nanda tribe once thrived. This sacred land, nestled near the mouth of the Murchison River, holds a special significance for me, as it was the home of my great-grandmother, a proud Nanda woman who suffered the injustices of the Stolen Generation.
Through my art, I seek to honor the legacy of my great-grandmother and the rich cultural heritage of my people. I strive to capture the essence of the natural world, infusing my work with the vibrant colors, textures, and patterns that evoke the beauty of the land and its people. My art is a celebration of the enduring spirit of my ancestors and the resilience of the human experience.
