About Artist

I am a proud Wiradjuri and Celtic women living and working in the Southern Tablelands of NSW.
I also work with the Upper Lachlan, Southern Highlands and the ACT.
My practice has a strong influence from my heritage and also from my surrounding with a strong focus on place/country, native flora and fauna of our country and raising awareness of caring for country as a whole through my work and sustainable practices.
I work in painting, drawing, mixed media and weaving to convey this message.
I also teach weaving workshops at various locations across the above areas teaching to mob and others the beneficial mindfulness and sense of whole self and community that weaving brings.
I hope through my work to raise awareness of our environment and all species that use it and the need to take action now to preserve our country for future generations to know and enjoy.

Artist Statement

A topographic view of natural waterholes and the passage between each one as it flows across the landscape. These ponds and the surrounding vegetation are vital at providing clean, healthy, flowing water and support many smaller species of ecosystems such as insects, amphibians, reptiles and pollinators. All of these species although often forgotten or overlooked are vital to healthy waterways, native vegetation and to support larger native species up the food chain. We must work together to protect these spaces before all care of country is of no use any longer as we have gone to far.
