About Artist
Kelly Mackey lives and works on an isolated farm in central west NSW Australia. A lifelong love and interest in the Arts led to the creation of Mac_Mosaics. Known as the mosaicking farmer with an obsession and passion for repurposing pre-loved crockery into bespoke artwork creations, Kelly is self-taught and highly skilled with an eye for detail.
Artist Statement
‘Blooming Crockery’ highlights the stunning beauty of our natural environment while being created with discarded crockery. My process is rooted in the idea of reusing and repurposing, reminding viewers of their impact on the environment. This work serves as a poignant reminder to reflect upon our consumption habits and to find creative solutions to preserve our planet. Through my art I hope to inspire change and draw attention to the importance of sustainability.
