This piece depicts "Urarrar"Bremer River in Ipswich,QLD. I love painting waterways and the river always calls to me. The river is life. It has a beginning and an end and the journey in between is life's journey.
I paint with acrylic on canvas and my practice includes repurposing textile materials such as netted curtains and fresh produce bags to then create intricate stencils that are used within my painting practice.

I'm a proud Goori woman of the Gumbaynggir and Bundjalung nations based in Queensland painting my love of landscapes. My artistic creations are deeply connected to culture, homelands, and family.
My works are reflections of a spiritual connection to Country. Through ancestral links, family, identity, and community I tell not only my own story, but that of my lineage and people.
My works act as visual portals that allow the viewer to connect with my art and cultural vision. "It is in my blood to create." Connection to history and Country has always grounded my practice within a deeply authentic place.
