My experimental practice serves as a stepping stone in using traditional modes of printmaking in collaboration with Artificial intelligence to create a work, exploring the nexus of artistic originality and artificial intelligence to create harmony within the debate of creative authorship. Using a heat press transfer image of Ai generated image onto a copper plate, the work is treated with a traditional aquatint process and then printed. Creating a dialogue between the human tradition of labour and imagination with machine ingenuity Ai. By combining the two the work discusses the way the artist identifies themselves as the creator.
This development of passion through late childhood and adolescence led her to pursue a career contributing to the ecology of creative and fine arts. Striving to achieve excellence both academically in the field of fine arts and creatively. She uses in-depth meaning in her works to convey a message and demonstrate strong symbolism through visual language to terraform deep thinking and subjectivity. Using the unique style of heat press process etchings and other experimental modes of printmaking, Haylie questions the materiality of traditional printmaking and print theory to transform it into a new methodology of creation. Haylie's recent practice and area of research for the early stages of her Master in fine arts consists of combining the use of text to image Artificial intelligence generations with copper etchings to create a multi-layered and multi-meaning work asking queries about artistic identity, originality and the relationship between art and Ai in the development of society, elevating the discussion about this relationship in a gallery environment.
